European Commission Launches Survey on the Zero Pollution Dashboard for Regions

The European Commission has launched a survey to assess the newly developed Zero Pollution Dashboard for regions and capital cities. This tool provides valuable insights into key ambient (outdoor) air quality indicators, alongside other environmental pollution metrics related to health, ecosystem protection, biodiversity, and production and consumption. As part of the EU Zero Pollution Action Plan, the dashboard helps track progress, recognise best practices, assess the effectiveness of pollution reduction efforts, and identify opportunities for sustainable regional and local development.

A key goal of the EDIAQI project is to support policymakers in reviewing standards and regulatory measures while providing science-based evidence to advance the Zero Pollution Action Plan of the European Green Deal. Considering that achieving zero pollution outdoors is closely linked to tackling indoor pollution sources, it is essential to ensure that perspectives from EDIAQI and the IDEAL Cluster are reflected in the broader discussion on air quality.

The European Commission is now seeking feedback to enhance the dashboard and ensure it effectively meets user needs. Stakeholders have now been invited to take 2-minute survey to share thoughts on how this tool can be further developed and improved.
