EDIAQI at the International Conference and 14th Croatian Scientific and Professional Meeting AIR PROTECTION 2025
The EDIAQI project was presented at the International Conference and the 14th Croatian Scientific and Professional Meeting, “Air Protection 2025”, which took place in Zadar, Croatia, from 21 to 25 October 2025. The main organiser of the event was the Croatian Air Pollution Prevention Association (CAPPA), in cooperation with the Institute for Medical Research and Occupational Health (IMROH), the Croatian Meteorological and Hydrological Service (meteo.hr), the European Federation of Clean Air and Environmental Protection Associations (EFCA) (efca.net), and the International Union of Air Pollution Prevention and Environmental Protection Associations (IUAPPA) (iuappa.org).
The Conference addressed a wide spectrum of themes related to air quality and environmental protection. Key topics included:
- Air quality management
- Air pollution sources and emissions
- Ambient air pollution monitoring
- Machine learning and air quality modelling
- Developing and testing measuring methods
- Health impacts of air pollution
- Indoor air quality, energy efficiency, and healthy buildings
- Climate and environmental impacts of air pollution
Furthermore, the programme featured two special sessions were held – the EFCA session “Methane Time” and the IUAPPA session addressing global issues of air protection. The event was brought together more than 120 participants, who delivered 44 oral presentations and 22 poster presentations.
Owing to strong interest in the session on “Indoor Air Quality, Energy Efficiency and Healthy Buildings”, it was held in a hybrid format, in contrast to the rest of the Conference, which took place exclusively in person. Within this session, held on Tuesday, 23 October, 11 presentations were delivered by participants from the IDEAL cluster, seven of which were from the EDIAQI project (Conference programme available at https://zastitazraka.imi.hr/en/program/). In addition, two poster presentations from the EDIAQI project were also included in the session “Health Impacts of Air Pollution”.
All presentation abstracts were published in the official Book of Abstracts:
Throughout the Conference, collaborators from the EDIAQI project showcased their latest findings and results to the international scientific and professional community, engaged in productive exchanges with fellow participants, and forged valuable contacts for future cooperation.
