Indoor Air Quality Education

This section brings together the core EDIAQI educational resources, available in multiple languages, designed to support schools, teachers, and organisations in raising awareness of indoor air quality (IAQ) among children and young. Developed within EDIAQI, these materials follow a shared educational framing: empowering children and students to take ownership of their own indoor air quality, because knowledge is power.

LEARN Board Game

Developed by our sister project, the LEARN project, this educational board game helps children learn about indoor air quality in schools through play.

The game introduces key classroom air pollutants, explains how they can affect health and concentration, and highlights simple actions to improve indoor air quality. It is freely available and currently offered in English, Danish, Dutch, Greek, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish, with more languages coming soon.

This Teacher’s Guide, developed within EDIAQI, supports educators in introducing indoor air quality (IAQ) across different age groups, from early primary to secondary education.

It provides essential background on indoor air pollution, its health impacts, and why awareness should start early, helping teachers frame IAQ topics within existing curricula and classroom activities. The guide is designed to accompany the EDIAQI student workbooks and to support inquiry-based, age-appropriate learning.

Recognising learning and engagement in indoor air quality

This Diploma, developed within EDIAQI, is awarded to students in recognition of their excellent learning and engagement in indoor air quality.

It serves as a positive and motivating tool to celebrate students’ participation in EDIAQI educational activities, reinforcing the message that understanding indoor air quality is an important step towards healthier indoor environments.

An evidence-driven, hands-on introduction to indoor air quality for children

This workbook is the first educational resource developed within EDIAQI, designed to help children explore what indoor air quality is, why it matters, and how it affects their everyday lives.

Learning about indoor air through play, curiosity, and everyday actions

This child-friendly workbook, developed within EDIAQI, is designed specifically for children aged 5 to 12. Using simple language, colourful activities, and playful challenges, it introduces young learners to the idea that the air around them, especially indoors, matters for their health and wellbeing.
