Real-time platforms and user-friendly dashboards enabling data-driven IAQ insights

International research and academic initiatives are increasingly focusing on the development of real-time monitoring networks and accessible data platforms for indoor air quality. For example, the Global IAQ Observatory is building a large-scale infrastructure based on continuous real-time data collection and predictive modelling, aimed at supporting policymakers with actionable insights on indoor environments. In parallel, public institutions such as the European Environment Agency provide platforms like the European Air Quality Portal, which combine real-time data access, interactive visualisation tools, and analytical dashboards, enabling users to explore air quality trends in an intuitive and transparent way. Together, these advances confirm a growing shift toward human-centred, data-driven IAQ systems, where usability and interpretability are as important as technical accuracy.
