Highlights from the Second EDIAQI In-Person Project Meeting in Dubrovnik
The picturesque city of Dubrovnik, Croatia, played host to the second EDIAQI in-person project meeting on the 19th September, bringing together most of our dedicated consortium partners. This meeting marked a significant milestone in our journey towards enhancing air quality monitoring and awareness across Europe. Here's a recap of the key highlights from this event.
Staying on Track and Progressing Rapidly
One of the most gratifying aspects of our meeting was the acknowledgement that we are right on track with all our deliverables. In fact, we've successfully achieved the first five milestones, with the sixth milestone expected to be completed shortly. The EDIAQI project is making strides, thanks to the relentless efforts of our committed team.
A Clear Scientific Focus
Our Scientific Coordinator, in his address, underlined the overarching scientific goal of the project: to emphasise the importance of evidence in advancing air quality monitoring. This focus ensures that our efforts are grounded in robust research and data, which is crucial for making a meaningful impact on air quality.
Breathing Easy: Monitoring Air Quality in Dubrovnik
In a practical demonstration of our mission, one of our partners, LAS, brought along an air quality monitoring device to assess the air quality in the conference centre. We're delighted to report that we were able to maintain a commendable level of air quality throughout the conference.
Reflecting on Our Achievements
The Dubrovnik meeting provided us with an opportunity to take stock of what we've accomplished during the first nine months of the project. It was heartening to see how far we've come and to reflect on the progress we've made collectively.
Engaging with Our Advisory Board
One of the most crucial moments during the meeting was the introduction of our Advisory Board members to our consortium. These esteemed individuals will provide valuable guidance and support as we plan and execute upcoming project tasks. Their expertise and insights will be instrumental in shaping the EDIAQI project.
Face-to-Face Discussions on Key Topics
The in-person nature of this meeting allowed for face-to-face discussions on critical topics, including advancements in sensor technology, updates on the pilot projects, strategies for awareness campaigns, and the development of the project wiki. These discussions fostered a deeper level of collaboration and understanding among our partners.
The second EDIAQI in-person project meeting in Dubrovnik served as a significant milestone in our journey towards improving air quality monitoring and awareness. With achievements, ongoing progress, and the invaluable support of our consortium partners and Advisory Board, we are well on our way to achieving our goals. As we continue to work together, we remain committed to our mission of enhancing air quality and, ultimately, the quality of life for communities across Europe.
